Tales in the City

Published stories will be formed into an anthology followed by production of a microfilm with original actors for special screening, film festival applications and many more.

Write your best fictional or non-fictional short stories or poetry on a theme based on various lives and happenings in the city and get curated for publications with the production of a microfilm with special screening at,

1. Taj Vivanta, Hyderabad on 5th Nov 2022

2. Taj Vivanta, Guwahati on 3rd Dec 2022

3. Kolkata Literary Carnival in Feb 2023

The produced film will be pitched for film festivals along with the contributors names and due credits.

Those unable to join in person will be notified via email or online for the deliveries to be conducted on their behalf.

How to submit?

a. Write your short story between 1,000 and 8,000 words or poetry between 800 and 4,000 words and email us your manuscript in word format after registering here which is a mandatory step.

b. Content should be in English only.

c. Content maybe published elsewhere earlier but author should have the rights to his/her content.

You may register now and block your slots and submit your manuscript later on or before the given due date.

We will curate content on a rolling process as and when they come in.

The "works" would be placed in anthology/collections to be produced as books followed by the production 1 single microfilm with all author credits on the common theme.

For Participants,

1. For the first of its kind production of a microfilm with entire shooting, screenplay writing and other processes undertaken by us.

2. Published, distributed and promoted by us as Paperbacks, Hardbacks and eBooks worldwide with equal share of royalty paid to authors on sale.

3. Grand Screening of film and launch at Taj Vivanta, Hyderabad with Dinner or Taj Vivanta, Guwahati with lunch or at Kolkata Literary Carnival 2023

4. Post production, the film would be applied for film festival pitches, screenings and many more.

Fee Structure:

Online - Includes online participation for Book Launch/Submission only

In-Person - Includes in-person attendance for special screening, physical Book Launch + Networking Grand Lunch/Dinner (as applicable per venue)
