About the Coach

Melanie Q. Mariñas is a published author, a manuscript content editor, and a creative writing mentor. Her first published book was released in 2009. She started her career in manuscript editing and creative writing mentoring in 2016. She had facilitated several creative writing workshops under PSICOM Publishing, Inc. Bookada Caravan events and TBC Writer’s Camp. She had been awarded as Best Editor of the Year (English Category) and 2ndBest Editor of the Year (Filipino Category) during 2nd Gawad Parangal sa Mundo ng Literatura by Penmasters Administration dated February 8, 2020.

Currently, Melai is working as a content editor at PSICOM Publishing, Inc. and TBC Publications. She also writes under her pen name, melainecholy on Dreame.

2. How to make the narrations/ storytelling more interesting

3. How to develop an engaging story plot

4. How to create an effective plot twist to keep the story more exciting and engaging to read

5. How to come up with a remarkable ending

3. Author Profile (within 200 words only)

in three separate word files to be emailed to publishing@ukiyoto.com after the workshop.

Terms and Conditions

1. Participants can be from anywhere across the world with a minimum age of 14 years

2. Manuscripts maybe submitted by 30th July 2021

3. In case the work is not selected for publishing, the particiant would be intimated via email and 30% of the Registration fee would be refunded back within 7 working days
