Abu Yacine disembarks in Damascus International Airport, returning from Saudi Arabia laden with gold and money after ten years of hard work. He takes a taxi and, on the way, he tells the driver “Barakat” about the fortune he collected while working in the Arabian Gulf. The devil whispers evil in the driver’s heart to kill his client and get rid of him as soon as they get out of the city of “Homs”, and then he may seize all the man’s nest egg and get rid of his own abject poverty; but he enters in a struggle between the devil and his consciousness. So, who would eventually overcome? And will Abu Yacine be able to return to his wife and little son in Al-Hassaka? Or would Barakat’s greediness kill him and throw him in the desolate void?
